Brockway Badgers, our tireless football team comprising of staff members who really should know better, have narrowly failed to avenge their previous 3-1 defeat in the annual charity match with Victoria Villians, their opponents from Victoria Carpets, our Kidderminster Competitors.
Team Spokesman Darren Rollings who when not playing football, handles quality control for Brockway, told us before the match that he and his fellow crew of physical, muscular and toned athletes were positively raring to go on March7th.
"We've been training every week and we're sure to win this time," he said confidently.
Unfortunately, this didn't translate on to the putchand the Badgers suffered a very unlucky 1-0 defeat.
The Team is hoping to top last year's sum of more than £1070 which was raised for Kidderminster's local cancer care unit, the Millbrook Suite. This years match will be donating it's fundraising efforts to the County Air Ambulance, another very worthy cause.
