Brockway Carpets has introduced a new twist pile option to its popular Lakeland Herdwick carpet range derived from the protected sheep of Cumbria.
Made from 80% pure new British wool and 20% Nylon, Lakeland Twist offers three new distinctive designs – a plain grey ‘Thirlmere’, a grey and cream chequerboard ‘Loughrigg’ and matching grey and white stripe ‘Loughrigg Stripe’.
Inspired by the rugged and exceptional qualities of the Herdwick, Britain’s hardiest breed of hill sheep, Lakeland Twist is Brockway’s only twist pile product to feature Herdwick wool.
Similar to Brockway’s successful Lakeland Herdwick loop pile range, Lakeland Twist is a highly durable carpet thanks to the natural resilience of the Herdwick wool.
Available in 4m wide broadloom, the range is designed to offer a truly original and contemporary carpet for both the domestic and contract market.
“Lakeland Herdwick is one of our most sought-after ranges, and currently a best seller for Brockway,” commented Charles Annable, managing director of Brockway Carpets.
He said: “Our loop pile continues to be successful but there are customers in both domestic and non-domestic markets who are calling for a timeless classic twist option.
“We’re committed to meeting customer demand, and that is why we’re confident our Lakeland Twist will do exceptionally well.
“It will be particularly popular with customers who appreciate the contemporary colourways of our Lakeland Herdwick range.”
An environmental-friendly carpet, Lakeland Twist features Brockway’s pioneering Envirobac system which replaces conventional latex backing with polymer granules.
Available now, Brockway is supporting the Lakeland Twist launch with samples available to new and existing retailers.
